Welcome to BabyConnect

This short guide walks you through joining your child's daycare on BabyConnect — from creating your account to getting real-time updates on your little one. It takes about 3 minutes.

Before you begin

Have these ready: your full name, mobile / WhatsApp number, your child's name and date of birth, your daycare's org code (ask your centre — looks like DC-ABC123), and (optionally) a photo of your child.

Create your account

Sign in with your email to get started

Visit your BabyConnect URL and click Register (or Sign In) in the top right. Sign in with your Google account or email — this becomes your secure login.

Once you're signed in, BabyConnect detects that you're a new user and starts the onboarding wizard automatically. There's nothing to install — everything runs in your browser, and you can install it as a mobile app from your phone's browser menu.

Daily summaries and important alerts about your child go to this address.

Choose your role

Tell us how you'll be using BabyConnect

You'll see three role cards:

  • Parent — for parents of children at an existing daycare
  • Employee — for caretakers / teachers at a daycare
  • Daycare Admin — for someone registering and managing a daycare centre

Select Parent and click Next.

Enter your details

Fill in:

  • First name and last name
  • Mobile number — used by the daycare to reach you
  • WhatsApp number — optional, only fill in if it differs from your mobile. This is where the Lumi WhatsApp assistant (if your daycare has it enabled) will message you.

Click Next when you're done.

Join your child's daycare

Your daycare gave you a unique org code (something like DC-ABC123). Enter it here so BabyConnect knows which centre to connect you to.

Don't have an org code?

Contact your daycare admin and ask them for it. You can't join a centre without it.

Add your child's info

Their name, date of birth, and an optional photo

Child information form

Fill in your child's:

  • First name and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Photo (optional but recommended — helps your daycare team recognise them)

If you have more than one child at the centre, you'll be able to add them too. The daycare will link each child to your account during approval.

Already enrolled at the daycare?

If your child is already registered at the centre, your daycare admin will link them to your account when they approve your sign-up — you don't need to enter the same details twice.

Submit & await approval

Click Complete on the final step. Your sign-up goes to your daycare admin for a quick review — this is how the centre keeps parent accounts safe and linked to the right child.

You'll see a confirmation screen letting you know your application is pending. You can close the tab — there's nothing more to do right now.

Approval is usually quick

Most daycares approve new parent accounts within a few hours during the day. You'll receive an email as soon as you're linked.

Once approved, sign in again at the same URL. You'll land on your Parent Portal. From here you can:

  • See live activity — nappies, meals, naps, mood and notes as they happen
  • View daily summaries at the end of each day
  • Check events coming up at your daycare
  • Update your profile and emergency contact details anytime
  • Add a photo or details for your child

Install BabyConnect as an app

On your phone, open the menu in your browser and choose Add to Home Screen — BabyConnect installs like a native app so it's always one tap away.
